The Seeds Foundation played a vital role in flood relief efforts in the Northern Baltistan region by providing immediate humanitarian aid and support to the affected communities. They distributed essential supplies such as food, clean water, clothing, and shelter materials to families displaced by the floods. Additionally, the foundation helped in rebuilding damaged infrastructure and facilitated access to medical care, ensuring the well-being and recovery of vulnerable populations during this challenging time.

Azad Jammu and Kashmir

The SEEDS Foundation has been instrumental in providing relief to communities in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) during times of crisis, including flood disasters and the observance of Qurbani. In the aftermath of devastating floods, SEEDS Foundation has been actively involved in delivering essential aid to affected populations. This includes distributing food packages, clean drinking water, and other necessary supplies to those in need. Their efforts aim to alleviate the immediate hardships faced by flood-affected families and support their recovery.

During the annual observance of Qurbani, SEEDS Foundation has also played a significant role in ensuring that the sacrificial meat reaches the most vulnerable communities in AJK. Through their Qurbani program, they facilitate the distribution of meat to widows, orphans, the elderly, and individuals with disabilities, ensuring that these groups can partake in the Eid celebrations. By sourcing animals locally, SEEDS Foundation supports local farmers and ensures that the meat is distributed promptly and in accordance with Islamic guidelines.

Through these initiatives, SEEDS Foundation continues to demonstrate its commitment to humanitarian aid and community support in Azad Jammu and Kashmir.

Neelum Valley

n 2024, the SEEDS Foundation extended its humanitarian efforts to Neelum District in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) by distributing Ramadan food parcels to underprivileged families. Recognizing the challenges faced by communities in this remote region, SEEDS aimed to alleviate food insecurity during the holy month.

The foundation's initiative involved the distribution of essential food items, ensuring that families had the necessary provisions to observe fasting with dignity. This effort not only provided nutritional support but also fostered a sense of community and solidarity among the residents of Neelum District.

Through this program, SEEDS Foundation demonstrated its commitment to supporting vulnerable populations in AJK, reflecting the organization's broader mission to uplift marginalized communities across the region.

Matiari, Sindh Province

In a recent initiative, Seeds Foundation (in a scenario mirroring Transparent Hands’ efforts) organized a free medical camp in Matiari, Sindh to serve underserved communities.

  • The camp was hosted in a rural area of Matiari, engaging a team of doctors, nurses, lab technicians, pharmacists, and support staff.

  • Over the course of the camp, 360–567 patients received services including:

    • Free medical consultations, first aid, and essential medications

    • Diagnostic screenings for hepatitis B & C, blood sugar, cholesterol, blood pressure, uric acid, typhoid, and more on personal hygiene, cholera awareness, and general disease prevention.

  • The medical staff responded to common rural health concerns such as fever, respiratory illness, gastrointestinal issues, diabetes, hypertension, and more.

  • Patients needing further medical attention were registered and referred to partner hospitals for follow-up surgeries or treatments .

Shikarpur, Sindh Province

The SEEDS Foundation has been actively involved in providing flood relief to the communities in Shikarpur, Sindh. In collaboration with local partners, SEEDS delivered essential aid to hundreds of families affected by the devastating floods. The relief efforts included the distribution of food supplies, clothing, and other vital household items to ensure the immediate needs of the displaced populations were met.

Through these initiatives, SEEDS Foundation demonstrated its commitment to supporting vulnerable communities during times of crisis, helping them recover and rebuild their lives.

Havelli

In 2024, the SEEDS Foundation extended its humanitarian efforts to the Haveli District in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) by conducting a significant Qurbani (sacrificial meat) distribution during Eid ul-Adha. Recognizing the region's vulnerability due to economic challenges and limited access to resources, SEEDS aimed to ensure that marginalized communities could partake in the Eid celebrations with dignity.

The initiative involved the procurement of sacrificial animals, which were slaughtered and processed in accordance with Islamic guidelines. The resulting meat was then distributed to over 1,000 underprivileged families across various villages in Haveli District. Special attention was given to widows, orphans, the elderly, and individuals with disabilities, ensuring they received their share of the Qurbani meat. The distribution was carried out in collaboration with local community leaders, ensuring transparency and fairness in the process.

This Qurbani initiative by SEEDS not only provided essential nutrition to those in need but also fostered a sense of community and solidarity during the auspicious occasion of Eid ul-Adha. It exemplified SEEDS' commitment to uplifting marginalized communities and promoting social welfare in the region.
