We are looking to set up partnerships and consortiums with different individuals and organisations in the local community. We are also seeking to set up membership schemes with private businesses in the local area to gain regular donations to help fund our projects. We will also work with local community organisations to identify the areas which require our services and then we will run projects together to meet the needs of the local community.
We are also developing our volunteer network and hope to provide our services locally, nationally, and globally. By setting up links with different specialists in different areas we hope to minimise the costs of our projects.
We are also planning to gain funding and provide our services by applying for contracts and grants from various funding bodies such as the Skills Funding Agency.
Some of the projects we are hoping to run are courses ranging from entry level to level 4/5 in different subject areas such as: Business, Management, Health and Safety, Food Safety, ESOL and many more.
We are hoping to provide these services internationally as well as locally.
We aim to support young people to raise their achievement level in different areas of life without discrimination. This project would further boost self-esteem and confidence of individual learners with a view to improving their employment and further education prospect.
Seeds Foundation in partnership with Anglo Skills College, Nottingham has successfully delivered similar projects in the past with recorded resounding success. Our Pre-ESOL has been specifically designed to meet the needs of learners who are at the pre-entry level of English language proficiency and require extensive support to develop their language skills, with the following benefits:
- Language Skills: Our provision would focus on four core language skills; Listening, Speaking, Reading, and Writing. Each skill area will be addressed through a variety of interactive activities and exercises to facilitate effective language development. The duration dedicated to each skill area will be tailored to the learners’ needs, to ensure ample practice opportunities for skill reinforcement.
- Functional Language: Our provision integrates real-life scenarios and practical language use. Learners will be engaged in activities such as case studies, role play, and audio-visual materials, which simulate everyday situations, hence allowing them to practice and apply their language skills in context. Approximately 20% of provision’s content will focus on functional language development.
- Grammar and Vocabulary: In our provision, we will incorporate dedicated sessions for grammar instruction and vocabulary development. Approximately 10% of the provision’s content will be allocated to grammar instruction and vocabulary development.
- Cultural Awareness: Recognizing the significance of cultural awareness in language learning, our provision incorporates components that familiarize learners with the cultural aspects of English-speaking communities. Approximately 5% of the provision’s content will be allocated to cultural awareness activities, such as exploring cultural practices, customs, traditions, and societal norms.
- Employability: Our provision emphasizes employability skills (20%) through sessions on effective communication, teamwork, time management, and job readiness. Learners gain practical experience and receive guidance on job searching techniques, resume writing, and interview skills. Work placements are facilitated to apply skills in professional settings.
- Digital Skills: Basic IT skills (10%) will be emphasized, covering digital literacy, online job hunting, and virtual communication. Learners will gain proficiency in using email, navigating online job portals, conducting internet research, and utilizing virtual communication tools. Practical training will empower learners engage with digital platforms and adapt to digital work environments.
